Radoslav Raykov - Founder of CNTS and the kazva.bg platform

From Burgas to international business and back - the journey of the entrepreneur behind Bulgaria's civic feedback platform.

Synthesis of an article by UTP Bulgaria

Radoslav Raykov was born in 1982 in Burgas, a coastal city on Bulgaria's Black Sea. Fluent in English, Italian, and Russian, he pursued an education that spanned two continents: Mass Communications and Marketing at Truman University in the United States, followed by International Business and Management at Arnhem Business School in the Netherlands. The combination - communication expertise paired with business acumen - would prove foundational.

His early career centered on strategic consulting: business model analysis and development strategy for organizations navigating growth. But in 2009, Raykov made a deliberate pivot toward entrepreneurship and civic activism, with a particular focus on internet technologies and digital rights. The shift was driven by a conviction that technology could serve not just commercial interests but public ones.

That conviction materialized as the Center for New Technological Systems (CNTS) and its flagship initiative, kazva.bg. The platform's premise is both ambitious and practical: build infrastructure for constructive dialogue between citizens and institutions, between consumers and businesses. Not a complaints board, but a systematic feedback mechanism designed to produce measurable improvements.

Today, kazva.bg serves municipalities, airports, media companies, banks, and retail chains across Bulgaria. Raykov's path - from a multilingual young man in Burgas, through international education, through consulting, to building a national civic engagement platform - illustrates how personal motivation, combined with the right technological choices, can reshape the way people and organizations communicate.
