What's changing for your profession

If you are an ICT technician, you already know that AI assistants can decode a log, suggest a fix for a network problem and close a ticket without human intervention. Automated ticket handling, intelligent monitoring with predictive alerts and AI-assisted diagnostics take over a significant share of first-level support. That changes your profession, but does not erase it. Someone has to physically pull a new cable, replace a failed switch in the rack, install a camera, talk to an employee who cannot describe the problem in technical terms, and judge when the model is wrong. Your value grows towards integration, security and dialogue. Expect to work less as the person who watches the incident chat, and more as the person who understands the whole environment. Invest in network and cloud security, in scripting-based automation, in the basics of working with AI tools, and in skills for talking to non-technical colleagues. If you turn AI into a second pair of hands, you will run more systems at once, close harder cases and remain in demand, not replaced.
